Iam getting the issue for "No Battery present, 255% available (plugged in)", screenshot given below. I tried the battery driver uninstall optionn from Device manager, no luck with that. try setting up the default BIOS setting. that also did not work. Please update me with any solution for this.
Isuggest that you shut the system down, remove the battery and disconnect the ac adapter, press and hold the power button for 20 to 30 seconds. Now connect only the ac adapter and wait for 30 seconds and turn on the system. This will drain any residual charge in the capacitors. Next check of the Ac Adapter is detected in BIOS.
Batterypluged in, not charging 5% available. After the latest Windows updates my laptop's battery started with this problem, not charging while plugged in, with only 5% available, meaning I can only use the laptop while plugged in. I use a Toshiba Satellite S55, non removable battery. Windows X Pro.
Withthe new motherboard, the laptop works almost fine: battery is charging, CPU runs full speed (2.2Ghz). EXCEPT: the laptop does not work on battery power. When the AC adapter is not plugged in, the laptop will immediately shut down, or will not power up if in power off state. I have the case led blink 1 white, 4 orange.
Usuallya plugged in not charging message is displayed when you hover on the battery icon. Disconnect the battery and unplug the adapter. Then press and hold down the power button for 30 seconds. Then reconnect everything and try again. F. FlashFlame. 0. 05-01-2020 11:00 AM.
Asecond issue that has come up is that the battery is seemingly not charging entirely. My system seems to not adhere to recharging itself and instead says: "[BATTERY PERCENTAGE] available (plugged in)"; yet does not display a time scale for when the device will finish charging; staying at said charge with no change.
Ichecked four of them - one was introduced in mid-2016, the others in mid-2017. The battery in your computer might be doing the best it can - batteries age over time and the "top" charge (the most charge the battery can hold) will diminish. That means a new battery can charge to 100% - and older battery may only charge to 92% -- or 88%.

Goto device manager (right click "Computer" & select manage) Under the Batteries section, right-click all of the Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery (or similar) listings, and select Uninstall. Shutdown laptop & disconnect mains power. Reset your battery (as above) Connect power & restart.
